pull the foam off a stock seat,cut the front lip off it,heat it and shape it for comfort,cover it in silicon for grip.Paint it if you like.Very ugly but very effective.Leonard made one from alloy sheet with a non slip front.The carbon looks pretty but you need grip.It sit forward in 1st and sit back to get under the paint for the rest of the run,so the stepped seat would lock you forward and possibly in the breeze for the rest of the run?

from what i have read... the lower parts of the seat is for the first couple of gears and then the top part of the seat is for the last few gears...
the yanks on the big hp turbo busa's haven't got dramas with these carbon seats..
looks is half of it.. don't want a dodgy looking job.

How did you go Grant, any luck?
I have a mould for one here now, could probably get one made but out of glass, last customer covered it with padded seat material.
