I completely agree re them being a problem in an off.

Max's wife Mary has the best set of women's boots I've seen (apart from my Allstars which are dead sexy). It has a small heel, but the heel is one piece that works down to the toe (I'm not explaining this at all well). There is no gap between the heel and the ball of the foot (does that help?).

Maybe Max can put up a link. Mary likes them because they are feminine and look good, but they look pretty safe as well, and good build quality.

Neither pair of my bike boots have separate heels as in the initial link....not Busgo's link They have a slight 'wedge' style heel, which is what I think Heidi is trying to describe.
