Okay people, help me out with any info you may have...
Yesterday late afternoon, while stopped at the lights, my motor stopped. Tried starting it and it made funny sounds. Had it towed to 10/10ths and Col said the cam chain tensioner is gone. Could be big damage to valves, etc...
Just by coincidence, yesterday early afternoon, while changing rear sprocket with Blackzook present (before the break down), I rang Suzuki and checked recalls on my bike. I thought I had done them before I bought the bike, just 14 months later (yesterday) I thought I'd call again because Simmo recently had cam chain done too... They told me the recalls had all been done... though I explained I had no plate to show for it.
Today I found out that the cam chain tensioner had been recalled a few times "until they got it right" and there is supposed to be an oil line coming out of it. Mine does not have this.
Suzuki are saying some dealer in Nowra did mine in 2000 and has since changed owner, but as far as they are concerned they paid for it (though it seems it was not done properly).
What can I do?
What should I do?
