Anyone know what this noise is..?

I've heard of motor mechanics using a basic stethoscope to localise engine noises. I've used a screw driver in the past to pick loose tappets etc, just shove the plastic end in your ear & the blade on the engine & move it around

Next time you hear it with the bike in neutral, pull the clutch in & see if it disappears

While you're there, check your idle speed (1150 rpm) If it's a bit low, any noises/rattles/backlash become magnified. <i>Edited by: rev 01 at: 2/4/06 7:10 pm

if it is new bike i had same sort of prob took it to suzi dealer and i think they said they adjusted cam belt but not 100% sure <i>Edited by: HAYABUSA ROD at: 10/4/06 11:39 pm
