Laminer lip
#1
Good day to all,

I am starting to set my 00 model up for the busa bash and have come across this product called a "laminer lip".
This item is to be attached to the front fairing window and create a low pressure area behind so to in effect create a hole / move the wind up and over you so to improve long rides and reduce fatigue.
It works like a wing on an aircraft,

i have this link and as i am a novice at forum stuffIdiot2 i hope this one works..... http://www.laminarlip.com/

Any input would be most appreciated Trophy

Thanks in advance

No idea Moshy, but i think you need to find out which screen's they fit,OEM or aftermarket.Might work ,don't know .If you get one we'll all know .

I have seen a similar product elsewhere. If I remember rightly, it got good reviews.
"casting dispersions on others credability." And their illiteracy.

Probably the same one I've heard of - Vario Touring Screen which has an additional lip.
Heard good reviews. More of a function over aesthetics thing.

i had a vario laminator screen on my previous bike , it was excellent , it was adjustable and was tinted to match my screen at the time. Imo it did make a positive difference on longer rides .

I rang the bloke who sells them and he said they are for the original screen design/shape

Thats handy for you, as yours is the original screen, perhaps a review is in order .You can test it on our Tathra shakedown run,I'm trying to organize for about 6 wks from now ,400 km ride down south for lunch .The aesthetics concern me a bit though .

While I've heard good things about the Vario, I wouldn't recommend the Laminar Lip.
I had one on my ZX14 for one ride then took it off (its still somewhere in the garage I think) - it shook, made a racket, looked crap and didn't do a very good job of keeping the breeze away Pi_thumbsdown.
