There is a final hearing this week to determine if the MG Car Club can go ahead with a 3K road circuit and an ANDRA certified drag strip in my home town.
They have had the plans before about 3 different courts over the past 2 years and they are confident of a decision in their favour. There are only 6 concerned local residents and a council developer against them.
Those against the develpment quote noise as a major factor but the land is directly under the landing path of the RAAF base and Newcastle airport.
There is already a hill climb track and a National MX track at the site.
Let's hope they win this one.
