Just bought one of these from ebay (3ish weeks ago) for $6 shipped, and I'm running it on every journey on both the bike and car to see how durable it is.
It's a digital voltmetre (in red) that plugs into your cigarette lighter and I could have used one of these when I was having all those charging problems. I haven't fitted a permenent cigarette lighter socket to my bike - I've got one with 2 battery clamps on it, that just about fits under the seat with me riding it - more than enough if you only need it for diagnostics on the go.
Looks accurate, but haven't calibrated it yet - will comment when I have.
BRILLIANT and CHEAP. Now if only there was a oil pressure equivilent...
