lowered bike Vs tyres
#1
Ive had my bike lowered one inch front and rear and would now like to put a 200/60 rear tyre. The boys at raceway think this combination "may " cause the chain to rub and even asked me to put this thread up to get any opinions or has anyone else had the same set up and experienced any problems with the chain?

Lowering the bike front and rear will make no difference. If it fitted on at normal height, it'll fit on now...

200 rear s/times touches the chain... just have to try and see...

Lowering may create clearance issues like scraping the undertail (yep, I've done that), but not if it's only 1 inch

Thanks Pan. For some reason the mechanic was concerned the chain may rub on the swingarm.

A 200 will be fine. Im pretty sure you can get away with up to 220 before it touches.

And certainly have no problems with the chain and tires
