That track day marked a new beginning for me, as I hang up the Dragracing cap on Australia's quickest and fastest Hayabusa, which has been sold and go to the dark side and start from the bottom to work my way through trackdays and circuit racing.

I feel in good hands with the advise I get from the guys who are already there. Thanks guys.

Leonard.

Buddy it was great been on the track with all you guys and most of all how you me and bruce ripped through the circuit and bikes.
I have to say it was one of the best trak days I had.
Sad to hear about the drag racing but you do have a great point about the support in Australia.
I will be out there on the 27th of June with Ron (black R1),Pan and i think RATs members. See if you can get a spot on the waiting list.

No worries mate. You're a champion on the drag strip. If you need any advice about the track to become a champion, you just ask...

The group.

For those of you unfortunate to not have made our acquaintance, from left to right that's:

Ron (R1, Bluethunder's friend), Bluethunder and Legend right behind his shoulder, Blackzook, Babybusa (standing), Heidi, Pan, Bazman (standing, half naked), then Blackzook's bigbore Busa parked on the side

Don't know why Wardy wasn't in that picture. He was probably getting his knee down in the car park, just for practice.

1hot was there on the Red/silver Gen 1. I think he took the photo.

Driller was there (black/grey Gen 1) but left a little early to head home to mid north NSW

Also, Mrs Wardy and child, Mrs Legend, Dale and Mrs Dale, as well as Kawasuki and his son showed up, but not in that pic

We also had our friend Pete in the pits with us (675 Junkie), from the RATS group, who was the quickest of the lot of us...

Most of us stayed and had a pleasant dinner afterwards too. All up it was a perfect day. Look forward to another one, though rumours have it that it'll be at Phillip Island in February 2014.

In the meantime, as Bluethunder said, 27th of June (Thursday) there will be a few of us there... (Sydney Motorsport Park)

....almost all, Skid!! My busa broke, after only 2 laps!! It has NEVER, EVER let me down like this before Frown....so you can imagine how upset I was watching all the rest of them having fun out on the track without me!! Pi_freak

A H-U-G-E "THANK YOU" to both Wardy and Pan for the extremely generous offers of taking their bikes out for a session - great clubmanship generosity at its' absolute finest right there!!!! Pi_thumbsup

Most of us were in this group - 13 pages to go thru. If any of you guys purchase shots of yourselves put em up. Yes

I think this wins as the "most leant over 'busa" Trophy

I spotted the fairing scrape on your RHS. That's about as far over as it's gonna get!

I still love the idea of holding an Aussie Hayabusa Club Day Event (like the Jindy, Coffs and Tathra Events) at Eastern Creek (or Phillip Island, if we can get enough there). The idea would be to have members and friends come along to have a run at the track, hopefully have a run across the road at the drag strip in the evening (if it's a Wednesday or they're doing Fridays), and spend a day or two riding through the Blue Mountains back roads, or the south coast, etc...

For those that don't want to "risk" their bikes, we'd all stay the local hotel at the track and hang out, watch the others, etc.

I loved seeing this last month...

What do people think? Could it happen in 2014?
