Bag is a before pump filter then the big black filter is an after pump one
no before means all the shit would get straight in to it
how would you like this lot going into your pump without some protection
Its rust flakes & dirt

I know I've said it before, but I've been in the motor industry either as a mechanic or in the spare parts side of things now for over 30 years, and I've lived all over Australia, and I've never seen this kind of muck in fuel systems before.
I've done up motorcycles that have been 30 years old and not got that kind of shit out of the tanks.
I just don't get it.
Is this a problem with the Busa tanks rusting?
If this is coming from the servo's, maybe a filter is required at the point of fill.
Something like this:

Just as an added point, I sell these at work and I'm now thinking of fitting one to my bike as a precaution.
If anyone else is interested, let me know and I'll do some experimenting with finding the best size and way to fit.

Having fuel pump trouble as well took the Suzuki one off mainly because of the high pitch whine, put one of ebay cheap ones in, bike was running great till you hit 7000 then wont pull through I put the original one back in, running even worse now going to put the ebay one back in just now. Any help would be great guys on which pump type or way to go. I got 86000 out the original but it has been whining for a long time!!
