I like to travel really light, so I would like to get aftermarket tent poles with shorter sections so that it fits better on the bike. Failling that, I might go bivouc-style and replace the tent with nylon fly-tarps and rope like I used to as a kid. The Hennessy Hammock Tent is my favoured lodgings but there is nowhere to pitch it at Phillip Island. :(

I made a tail bag that sits on the passenger seat, but am rethinking that as well. I might go for a couple of saddle bags that fit around or under the hump. I always pack my clothes into dry-sacks before putting them in bags. The cheapos from ebay are perfect - light, cheap and effective.
