Mmmmm. A question for those of the lower States..
You have to have this insurance for rego right?? Then how much is rego on top?

Cause I pay about $300 for 6 months which covers compulsory insurance then I pay for extra insurance.. Like to cover my damn bike LOL

The actual rego part is only about $114 in nsw , the rest is this overpriced rip off to cover anyone/any thing you hit or wreck.Greenslip.The MCIS levy on the form is what goes to paying the victim and the rest is an admin fee.my last one was $475.24 total break down $302.41 admin. $ 142.59 MCIS. $30.24 gst. Would like to know why more goes to admin as opposed to the actual people it is suppose to help???

Just renewed my online with GIO. $455.18 for 12 months. $100 cheaper than with Swann who were the original greenslip providers as provided by the dealer. It pays to shop around and use the government greenslip comparison calc. GIO came out cheapest for me. I'm still trying to work out why my BMW R1200GS is almost double this price at just under $900 for 12 months. Doesn't seem right that a Hayabusa is cheaper to insure, not that I'm complaining.

Cheers,
Delirious.

Looking at the gen 2 prices are nearly half the price as the gen 1

NSW CTP System is a massive rort. Knuppel2

Older guy no accidents no claims full comprehensive gen 2.

$623.49 for my Sydney Address in good area.

$371.06 for my Western NSW Address which is not such a good area.

Some quotes were over $1000 dollars.

The greenslip is more expensive than the comprehensive for my Sydney address.

Can anyone actually tell me why the price varies considerably depending on where you live. I don't understand how where I live has any bearing on the way I drive.
Surely those in the dearer suburbs would have a case for discrimination as we all know discrimination will not be tolerated in this country.
For the record, my green slip went down this year .. One whole cent .. I might get some bling for the busa with that.

Dale it is all linked to statistical data.. if there are more accidents for that type of vehicle in that area for that type of operator... then they will charge more cause higher chance of having to pay out
