Help on starting engine
#1
HELP!! Our group (Sand Duners) have recently started building "mini-rails"
using Honda and Kawasaki 1000-1100 cc engines for power. Recently we bought two Hayabusa engines complete with wireing harnesses and ECUs from EBAY as well as an extra ECU and instrument cluster. This would make for an awesome rail if we could get the motors to fire. We have the shop manual and have tried to fool the tip over, gear shift and clutch sensors going to the ECM but with no luck. We can engage the starter and turn the engine over, but the voltage to the fuel pump or the ignition system never comes up. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

you may find the ignition switch has a resistor in it which is required to make the ignitor and fuel pump work. alot of bikes have this to make hot wiring a bit harder
