Front forks...
#1
My policy is to get a (rip off) estimate, for things that need repairing, from acouple of mechanics, then put that money towards an upgrade replacement rather than the repair.

Well, seems like front forks need a look at, and the guess is that it'll be a simple job... doesn't stop it costing $300 in labour plus parts though. Forks are something that won't go wrong enough for me to do them myself, so my option is pay the money or stick with my policy and go for an Ohlins upgrade.

Comments and advice please. Is another brand better? Anyone use Ohlins forks before? Should I replace the monoshock for full benefit?

I'm guessing that this is four times the money of a repair.
