Air Filter cleaning kit

I have a BMC (Race-Red) filter over a couple of years now thought best not just a clean but rejuvinate with oil too. Bought K & N Cleaning kit for $27.50 the BMC was $45 and am told exactly the same. There was VHT spray cleaning and oiling cans @ $18ea. has more volume but wasnt sure to trust a paint company for the job.

Dropped my BMC into a hot bucket of Domestos and water...........

The shit that came out of it was amazing.......

Then re-oiled with the K & N cleaning kit. Very happy.

I will do it annually now!

well I did what you did Phil and after spraying/saturating the filter with the cleaning fluid I swished it around in a bucket of warm water and like you I couldnt believe just how much shit and dirt the filter had, water was pretty black and looking at the filter always looked pretty clean. rinsed off with a hose and oiled when dry.

A definate job to do for all those having serviceable air filters.
