shannons tried to screw me $300 more than previous year after 5 years with them. Arista blitzed them so they got my money. My thoughts are that shannons have gone from being a specialist insurer to a general insurer so they have a much bigger pool of people to insure.

I'm insured through a broker. New England Insurance Brokers. www.neib.com.au/index.htm
I'm paying $670 for my buss. Full cover as a daily commuter. Shannons wouldn't touch me because I ride it every day.

Hi there,

We have the same with the NRMA for the cars, if you dont tell them they will keep the direct debits going ad infinitum.

I remember when I had the RF and ringing up Arista who promptly told me that they were happy to insure me for $900 on a $5K bike and 15yrs of riding history. Told them to get stuffed. NRMA wanted $1400 for the same bike.

I am the same as Volvi, and I reckon nothing makes you a better rider/driver than riding uninsured. You cant afford to be in the wrong. In the event I am right I will issue the other party with a letter of demand and represent myself in court. Done it before and came out on top.

Insurance is a rort in Taxtralia, Stamp Duty is legalised robbery and should be abolished except that the tax hungry bastards wont want to lose the revenue. Talking of Stamp Duty, where's the money from the Stamp Duty that was collected in the housing boom. Bob went before the Royal Commision got him IMHO, but the state is still falling apart.

Time to get dowm off the soapbox, I have just done change of ownership on two vehicles + blue slip on a trailer that has shown me what money grabbing pricks they are.

Vote for me, I will abolish stamp duty!!! Regards
Graham
