Don't blame those people who started the rumour. Its possible that whoever first saw the bike and started the leak only saw it from the rear. If I was that person, I'd have said

"Fugg ! Thats too ugly to be a Hayabusa, but its bloody big.... must be the replacement - better let the troops know"

and thus.... a rumour was born.

All that remains is the seat, battery, frame and handlbars.
I'd say that qualifies as a NEW BUSA.

i agree.
a lot of major changes to things like the engine too.
pretty obvious that the fairings won't change over.
and actually they even changed the seat didn't they?
pillion lower and different design on front too I think.

If it isnt the busa they wuda called it the "busa look-a-like", instead they called it the HayabloodyBusa, that makes it the same bike just 2nd generation.

The Hayabusa Lives On. Discontinued was the ugly zx12, that'll make the zx12 owners real proud.
