Well it ended up with just 5 of us. Mechanix on the the bike that never was but now is i.e the Kawasaki, Tone, Brett from QT (Honda 600) Joe from QT (Honda ST1300) and me. Started from the Shell Strathpine at 7:35 (yeah I hate not leaving at the designated time) over Mount Mee, to Kilcoy to regather, then onto Yarraman to refuel. Then onto Maidenwell where it was only 10:15 when we got there. So we jaunted off to Hampton which mean doubling back and guess who didn't do their helmet up? Yup me. So it was a very slow careful ride to find a township to pull up and do it up. On to Hampton and the little Cuckoo Clock place for lunch. Joe said goodbye to us from there. I decided it was a good idea to slip into some wet weather gear (got to get some dinosaur gloves like Shredder!!!) Over Cooyar Range where it was low visiablily and didn't clear up until you hit Esk. Lost Mechanix (hes got a small you know starts with P :) Petrol tank!!! who went back to get more fuel. Brett, Tone and I carried on over Mt G (not a bike rider to be found just us dick heads) where it was low visability again until you got to the bottom at Samford. All up (taking of the 1/2 hour wait for Mechanix) a 5 hour ride. Learnt heaps riding in the rain, like don't follow to close behind or you may Librace him, rain stings when you lift up your visor and spitting on your glasses doesn't stop them from fogging, always take a clear visor and electronic equipment and rain don't mix. Good company, great day.
