Well fellars it's about the start again tommorrow with the 1st round of Qualifying for this weekend.

If memory serves me correct Pedrosa won this event with Capirossi 2nd, Hayden 3rd & Edwards 4th with Stoner coming in 5th and I'm sure Rosi had a DNF.

So I'm still backing for Stoners form to continue and add another win to his championship round.
Well the 1st round of qualifying is over for the Friday with Stoner Impressing once again and in the process smashing the current lap record.

Casey Stoner completed his dominance of the practice timesheets at Sachsenring with his fourth consecutive pole position, setting a new record along the way. The reigning MotoGP World Champion –chasing his third victory in a row- set the fastest time ever recorded at the track with a 1´21.067 lap of the German circuit. Stoner had previously gone round lower than the existing record using race tyres on Friday.

Stoner had done enough to confirm his place at the head of the grid with over fifteen minutes remaining in the qualifying session, but further left his mark with an audacious final hot lap that further lowered his time by nearly three-tenths of a second. Last year he suffered from a tyre problem that ruled him out of the running for victory, but it appears that it will take something special to defeat the Australian on Sunday afternoon.

Many riders looked to be in a position to push the Ducati Marlboro rider when the qualifying rubber was fitted, although none were able to match his pace on the final section of the tight Sachsenring circuit. The closest to doing so was World Championship leader and 2007 racewinner Dani Pedrosa, some 0.353 down on Stoner´s time. The Repsol Honda rider had experienced problems with his first selection of qualifying tyres, and several late laps saw Pedrosa falling short with his attempts at a second pole position of the season.

Back on the front row after four races away, Tech 3 Yamaha´s Colin Edwards emerged from the hour-long session as the third quickest rider. The `Texan Tornado´ was just under a tenth of a second from Pedrosa, and was the fastest Yamaha rider once again with the satellite M1.

Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo will start from the same row on the grid for the first time since their arrival in the premier class, having battled at Sachsenring in the 250cc class in the past. The final spot on the second line went to LCR Honda´s Randy de Puniet.

Fiat Yamaha rider and World Championship challenger Valentino Rossi heads the third row, unable to find the second necessary to join up with the frontliners. Nicky Hayden and Shinya Nakano line up alongside the Italian.

Well my money is on Stoner for the win.
It's starting to smack of F1 a bit and the ferrari dominance of the last few years. Becomes a bit dull watching a procession. Hope someone can pull their finger out and catch up to the Ducati and make it a bit of a contest.
Honda and Yamaha are in the hunt but they need staying power.
Well I guess my tips this week will be
1 STONER because his an Aussie
2 PEDROSA because he won last year
3 ROSSI because He's is always in the hunt
It's gonna be a race for second and third I'm thinking. The Dukes almost a second a lap quicker in qualifying an practise. Hopefully it can rain and make it a level playing field
Go Stoner
Even though the the brand is wrong.

You've gotta be kidding me! One race this year of Ducati dominance (the last one) where Stoner rode away from them, the rest of the races have been pretty close and ALL of them have been really exciting. You forget that at the moment, Stoner is trailing both Pedrosa and Rossi in the Championship Points... Doesn't sound like Ducati has been 'doing a ferrari' this year, sounds more like Stoner is an awesome rider who hasn't given up. Also, people fail to see the performance of Melandri... Same bike, same tyres... So is it the bike or the rider?

The most suprising this has been Edwards? How's his action. On a second rate Yamaha (finally with good rubber) and he's the fastest Yamaha AGAIN! Yee-haw!
125s on at the moment not long now cant wait
Stoner Trophy

He's got his act together with the bike and it's a race for second place. He's an awesome rider and you cant take anything away from him but I reckon it'll be a race for second place for the rest of the season. No one at the minute can keep up with him
