Has anyone had any clutch problems on their Gen 2?

When I started mine today after work she didn't sound real good. As soon as I released the clutch lever after it started, the engine bogged down momentarily and I thought it was going to stall. I pulled the clutch back in, and then the noise began. A fairly slow rattle from the RH side of the engine. It sounds like the clutch is rubbing on the engine casing when fully depressed.

I rode home cautiously, and the noise did not seem apparent once warm. After it had cooled down for an hour or so I restarted the bike and the noise was back. A rattle that starts when you pull the clutch right in and slows down quite rapidly. I listened with the oil filler plug removed and it certainly sounds (and feels) like the clutch is contacting the casing.

I'm not sure how to approach any of our dealers about a warranty claim because they were not very accomodating with this years recall work. My bike is due for it's 6K service, so I want to get that done at the same time.

Someone mentioned in another thread that they'd heard of the clutch retaining bolts coming loose on a K8.

I'd love some feedback from anyone who has experienced a similar problem on a Gen 1 or 2 and how they got it fixed.

I think I better take the car to work for now.....
retaining bolts problem has happened on occasion on a gen 1 , studs that are the spring posts come loose, easy fix no parts needed just time ,

Busa's do have a noisy clutch, are you sure its a new noise ?
Garbo had to have his K8 clutch refitted. It came loose and was done under warranty.
Just do not accept a no fix from the dealer.
