Hi
Just want to know about the weight limit for the busa, is it true that its only 195kg? surely that cant be right. Can someone give me an idea on what sort of weight you have put on the bike with a pillion on as well. i would be very thankful.

BUSGO

The Gross Maximum weight according to the 99 model handbook is 430KG.
Which means if the wet weight without luggage is 230kg, then yes, you only have about 200kg to play with.
Better get a busa for the pillion as well.

Try 250kg's wet -- I've weighed the PIG

Last time I weighed it was at the drags with 3/4 tank of fuel... 254kgs

I think the figures quoting it at 195 were probably when it was track tested ON THE MOON!!!

so would my pillion and i (combined weight 197kg on average) and a few bags would be too much for 00 busa? surely someone has had this weight on the bike
any info would be helpful

kawasuki

well i am 115+ with the leathers on wife approx 75kgs with clothing, tank bag full 5-10kgs the gearsack compacted approx say 17 kgs
115
75
10
17
Equals 217 to 220 kgs
+ bike mine 220 wet = 440kgs
And I travelled 2500 klms on one trip no probs. Cheers,

Quote:The Gross Maximum weight according to the 99 model handbook is 430KG.
What you must remember is that the 99 model had the dodgy alloy subframe,so if you have the later steel one ,then you and pillion and luggage should be fine.
Huh and to think suzuki quoted 215kgs dry for the busa, yeah right,in their dreams. Phuck its the phantom!

GDYUP

Same weight for the 95 Viffer

But the Busa has at least a 70 RWHP advantage???

Go figure? xtt
