Wore some cheap thin gloves tonight as it was very hot. Couldn't believe the difference it made compared to my Alpine Sar GP gloves.
So much more feel and enjoyment riding. So I've decided to look for some new ones.

I want something really thin so lots of feel but at the same time strong and a bit warm too?
Is their an all season strong glove like this?
Do they make such a thing?
I have good thin summer gloves. And some silk type inserts for winter! Best of both worlds and they live under the seat so I don't have to commit to gloves before a ride!

Darren

i have some black draggin gloves great for summer . check them out.
I've got about 5 pair of gloves on the go atm. -thanks to Ray at ERI - got a brilliant light pair off him.
I hate thick gloves, but I hate cold hands more.
I suppose with heated grips you could probably use lightweight summer gloves all year round.

Another pair of gloves I have is a light pair of fingerless gloves I use for HOT round town weather. (Picked 'em up at the markets for $20)
They have to be better protection than no gloves at all!
They look really dicky, but I love them. I figure I'm NOT going to fall off, but if the unthinkable happens, it'll probably be a smack from behind or some other low speed event (in town riding only/ idiot traffic is the only reason I can see for having a 'bounce' situation.
The fingerless gloves gives protection for the palms, which with an off, is the first thing that tends to hit the ground as you put your hands out when coming down at slow speed. Leather across the palms also gives more grip than no gloves. I can take my helmet off and on with them on, get to my wallet etc. at the servo. For round town I love them. (You just have to put up with looking like a bit of a dick- or some kind of B&D freak)
I carry a 2nd set of gloves in the ducktail.

Sorry for the rant DJ - no idea?

I hate thick winter gloves, I find I just can't 'feel' the controls. Now I have heated grips, I wore my summer gloves all winter here in Canberra with no problem. Even on a -9 morning they were fine.

yeah heated grips have been a temptation for a while now...

I put them off for 10 years (assuming they were an old blokes mod), but they ROCK! I don't know how I lived without them. It can be well into the minus degrees and for the commute to work, I'm FINE! They are like an electric blanket and you can wear thin gloves. My current summer gloves are Rivz (I've never heard of them I got them off the internet), but they are fully armoured and nice and thin on the palms. Perfect feel.
On a real hot day I reach for my FOX moto X gloves they have carbon protection on the knuckles but damm they give good feel.

Seems some coppers wear em too !! not that they should influence you.

Hope this helps and safe riding.

I liove in Canberra and wore my pair of Shogai the whole of last winter. I do have grip warmers, that don't reach the outside of my hands.

Look for them on "www.shogai.com.au"

My last pair lasted 4 years before a small hole in the right fore finger let the cold air in a tad too much so I replaced them $75. A very good price.

I commend them to you.
