HI,

We have decided to drive from Perth to Sydney in the car...Undecided ( I wanted to ride but its not what was allowed...Lol2)

We will be travelling between 1st April to 5th April - Easter long weekend.

Any recommendations, suggestions or guidance will be highly appreciated.

Cheers,
Bill

Stop and see the whales at the head of the bight. Even if they aren't there (they are only there at certain times of the year), you can walk down to the edge of the cliff and stare at the edge of the continent. It is one hell of a view and highly recommended.

If you intend sleeping somewhere across the bottom, ring ahead to book accomodation, it is limited and probably at a premium over the Easter long weekend.
...and stick to the speed limit, hey Heidi....?

:-P

No, don't do that!

Any recommendation for places to stay for a family of 4.

Cheers,
Bill
Hi Bill
Firstly hope you have enjoyed your time over here.
Never been to impressed with Nullabor accomodation been across a few times with family and now resort to a tent. A ride across could tempting speed limits are becoming an issue find it hard to stay within the legal car, bike even push bike.
All the best with the new direction.
depends on the kms you want to travel each day, you will pay a premium price across the paddock, most places are fully booked each nite. i suggest cocklebiddy, if you can do 1150 kms in a day, they have about 20 rooms , they are friendly & the food is good. then next day stop at ceduna,(770 kms) i can recommend a motel, dont know the prices , but the food is great & cheap. Just be aware that there is limited fuel stops from norseman to ceduna after hrs. you need to keep a close eye on wildlife from southern cross through to ceduna. Its a boring, but stunning trip, especially when you get to the head of the bight. after pt agusta, i cant say, cause i go to adelaide from there.
Plan is

Perth to Norseman, Norseman to Ceduna, Ceduna to Mildura, Mildura to West Wyalong, West Wyalong to Sydney.

Booking at Norseman - done, West Wyalong - I know the town - was there for more then 2 weeks - know the hotel and people hence all sorted. Rest pending, but will be done by Monday.

Cheers,
Bill
