Made the trip across to Queanbeyan on Sunday and took one of these fancy new three-wheelers for a test ride as part of the "Spyder Experience"

Well, it's certainly different and takes a little bit of getting your head around, but dynamically it's very similar to a big quad-bike. We took the top of the line touring model out and the report from the pillion seat was "Very comfortable- would be good for a long trip."

I've got no intention of buying one, although she who must be obeyed commented that it would be good for her to commute to work on, as it has ample storage space for the laptop and other bits and bobs. Mind you, she also wants a Triumph Rocket III when the time comes to upgrade from her 650 V-Star! I must admit though, painted white with the business logo plastered on the front of it, it would certainly turn heads and couldn't hurt business any.

It was a lot of fun and a great machine for what it is. Very well designed and the build quality was impeccable. BRP has done a great job. Oh yeah, the ABS brakes are phenomenal!! I nearly went over the top of the screen, and that was only in the carpark.

On the feedback form, I wrote that while I wouldn't be buying, I would definitely hire one if on holiday somewhere and they were available.
