I agree with you Rev, On an SA forum I had the Audacity to call them ,Overpriced/over engineered &over complicated , had bloke's wanting to hang me, Some people can't handle the truth . Wasn't even rude about them. TOUCHY people the Wealthy .

IDK, it's been my experience that the most rabid Ducrapi supporters are lower-middle class. They like Ducatis because they think they ought to. Sure, there are a few wealthy people who own them, but dentists/doctors are more likely to ride a BMW.
Even the odd busa board member can ride a BMW ;)

Easier to change the rules than make the ducks fast enough ....

You mean a Ducati won't win the Ducati cup? Fantastic!! Great to see that Ducati will have to lift their game and make their bikes even more complicated. Lol3

As for what wealthy people buy, it can be all sorts. Just because some can't afford to buy more expensive makes or models, that doesn't make the people that can any different. It just provides some extra opportunity to try something other than settling for the best of the rest (read Busa/zx14 etc) Coolsmiley There is lots of other bikes out there above the 20K mark.

The most amusing Ducati story I can think of was upon visiting one of their showrooms in Richmond, (Melbourne), I came across a Desmosidici which was sold. The owner had left it in the shop and had been there for almost a year, with no intention of grabbing it according to the sales people. I think he just wanted to tell people that he owned one! Having two wheels these days seems almost to be a fashion, like those Harley guys you see on Lygon St, (refered to as 'wogs on hogs'). Their idea of going for a ride is to meet in Carlton for a coffee! And the other hog guy I saw at Peter Stevens in Dandenong; putting on his fake pony tail before donning his helmet and heroically riding away, facinating!
Hi,

Please note that there are few members who own both the Busa and a Ducati - we shouldnt indirectly hurt their feelings.

Cheers,

Bill
