CAS3234

After the great turn out on the 27th, I thought I would get in early and call the 24th of August for the next night out. This is 4 weeks notice, so there is no excuses for not coming out.

So get your bikes out and practice your high reving starts, it scares the @#%$ out of the car drivers next to you

Are you going to weigh them up and keep records?

Hopefully I will have my @#%$ together for this one, so I will keep track of times and such.

Simmo I'm using 16-42 but I'm going to try 16-45 with a slick next time out. I found I was boging down off the start with the 17 front.

I have also done a mod on the fuel pump and I have done the big air box mod too, so now it will be getting more air and fuel.
I hope to get it on the dyno early next week to tune it up.

Hopefully they will let me try out the new exhaust set up that I'll have done, it's bloody loud, the missus said the windows were shaking when I started the bike up.

Thanks Dave, i might see if can my hands on at 16 tooth

Cheers Robert

Same sprocket as the zzr 600 uses, Kawa dealers may have stock.

CAS3234

The only thing with the 16 front that I have found is that it is noisy, I didn't buy a cush drive sprocket as I wanted to see how it would go first. It makes a wirr sound , I can only think it is because it vibrates at higher speeds.
This sprocket only cost about $50, so it was cheap enough to try it out.

Thanks Dave,
i had the same problem last sprocket change had to go back to suzuki front sprocket extra $110 ouch Cheers Robert

CAS3234

I will definately go back to the cush drive Suzuki sprocket.

I'll probably use an 18 with a 50 rear, it's about the same ratio.

Dave

Blackkat

I'm stuffed if I've ever noticed a noise from the countershaft sprocket-None of my Busa's have dampened Sprockets??

Must be deaf.

Leonard.

CAS3234

I only noticed it on the freeway at about 110kph, more so when I back off at this speed.

Dave

Blackkat

Thats it!

I never ride around at that ludicrous speed!

Leonard.

Leonard,
I reckon the reason you wouldn't hear it is because sound doesn't travel as fast as you do...

Hey guy's it looks like the Blackbird club are coming out also.
We have to show them who is boss of the big bore's.
I think the turn out is going to be bigger this time.

Dave

Jeepers the only noise i hear is all the groupies chasing me down the street
Its a Copper thing, ask Leonard
Cheers Robert
