Hi guys im trying to work out if a brembo disk is stainless or not. dont really know much about these as a mate of mine bought them off a mate of his who bought them new for his gsxr 1k but he was told they were hayabusa disks. Part number stamped in them is 70.1515-A anyone able to help? cheers

On a guess from the images, Iron is a duller metal than stainless. Your's look like they are stainless.
Stainless steel warps when it gets hot, so I wonder if any brake discs are made from it.

Stainless dispersses heat extremely well and on an even level. It would take some serious cooking to warp a stainless rotor purely from heat alone. Even to change it's colour from heat (it'll do that before it warps)you are looking at a base temp of aprox 300 degrees to make it a pale yellow and to go full blue 600 degrees. How hard do you want to brake to achieve those temps and warp a stainless rotor.
The magnet test wont necessarily work. Different frsades of stainless are magnetic depending on what has been added. For example, stainless steel rulers are definitely magnetic.
Btw Rainbow, many rotors are made of stainless.

I understand that Brake Tech are among the very few manufacturers who use iron disks. The rest are using various grades of stainless steel.

Any grade of staino that starts with a "4" is magnetic as well as 304.

The ceramic rotors are just amazing!!! But who has $3.5 grand for rotors realistically. They are beauties though!
