I am trying to clean the muffler for my sons Yamaha YZ85, any tips?

gday i used to sick an lpg flame up it burns out the carbon and old oil thats in the 70s. my yz 125 i had, i got some fenceing wire doubled it up and fed it up from engine side of the exhaust attached to a cordless drill and a lot of shit comes out.just a thought.

I used an Oxy torch and some light tapping on the peewee.
I would take it to an engine rebuilding shop and get them to soak it in their costic bath,won't cost much.
Bill just get a gas flame going inside,and heat it up.Then when the carbon glows red inside you can use compressed air.Things heat up pretty quick.Watch out you don`t melt muffler.That`s how i burn out the carbon in mufflers on chainsaw & trimmers at my business,cheers from grant
