I removed the risers today because I noticed I didn't have to drop my head much to be out of the buffering from the screen. To my surprise I actually like the riding position better without the risers plus I didn't notice any extra weight on The wrists.only done about 200 k so ill see how it goes on a longer ride.
Did you buy the bike with the risers?

Yeah mate they where already fitted,just the spacer type setup
Im kind of interested in running risers on my bike, being 6ft2. Never had a problem but sometimes you dont know what you are missing until you try it!
How high are the risers, and did they work with the standard cables/brakelines as I will machine some at work and give it a go. Also, while I am in question mode, how tall are you? It is interesting you can't tell much of a difference

I run risers and helibars on my bike. I'm 5 10, and they make the bike very comfy.
Dropping the pegs makes a big difference, as well.
Helibars are really good ,a bit dear but you don't have to f around with cables etc. I'm 6.0.

I'm 5f 11 I'm pretty sure they are 1 and a quarter inch spacers and would be simple to make[i can measure them and post some pics tomorrow if you want].I don't think you can go any taller because of the standard cable lengths.
I was also going to get the helibars because I have been told they are wider than stock.

Cant turn my head that well when layed down,
The spacer puts me in a better position
to see whats next to me.
got 2" spacer block,no other mods needed to fit.
Hi guys, I'm just a tad under 6ft and was getting sore wrists, put approx 25mm risers in and helped heaps. Interestingly enough, I actually prefer the ride position with the risers even if it wasn't any benefit to my wrists.
Are you guys aware of the other effects putting spacers has on the general safety due to steering angles,ground clearance and bodywork clearance , 19mm spacer had adequate clearance maybe even out to 25 or so but more than that can contact the guard on the underside of the nose cone potentially influencing steering
next post will be about hitting a pothole in a corner and loosing the frontend :(
Not exatly sure what sort of spacers you are talking about Maj, but I understand the spacers dsiscussed here go in between the top tripple clamp and the part of the bike with the clip ons in ( the top top "triple clamp", only seen on busas ) so they wouldnt effect ground clearence, angles etc. I think you are refering to dropping the forks through the clamps?
Maj is saying that if you put the 25mm spacers on and then lower the triple clamps on the fork tubes the full 25mm that they are now able to lower, it will place the front wheel closer to the bodywork which could bottom out on a heavy pothall causing loss of control of the bike especially if it happens mid corner
Whoops ahead of myself there , so used to the racing and lowering by same method, , caught me out in a 345kph tankslapper several yrs ago, and seen others crash

I'm 6'7" and ad far as I'm aware I don't have them. I ride 50km to work each way each day and my wrists are sore as f#ck when I get there.
Do the risers require longer cables etc? Will those ones posted in eBay fit gen2's?

To clarify MAJ's point,
I did not move the fork legs in the clamps.
The guy I bought the spacer from had sold his BUSA because of sore wrists.
He never fitted the spacer block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I popped in to see Maj from Sydney and took the scenic way home.
I had a run on Sunday Sydney to Mugdee for breakfast
and took a detour,(got semi lost)
near LUE ended up near Cessnock(200km on dirt roads in the rain)
and then rode home via Broke and Wollimbi in torrential rain,
lucky I had just fitted OXFORD's ...............
Never had sore wrists..................800km...............
