am proud to say my 99 busa was chosen by my local honda dealer today, (outside of the ballot they have to gain entry), to take part in a dyno shoot-out limited to just 7 bikes.. they asked
me if i'd enter it!.. i don't wanna speak to soon but i think they know its gonna kickass coz they know its badass!.. and i wanna win coz the prize is a full service!

just snouts on the intake.. real (internal) mods include velocity stacks, micron race headers, power commander, smart tre, and kenny roberts tuned titanium pipe.. hoping all this will add up to a lot of extra bhp.. not sure wether to hook up power commander or not for dyno run.. it's an older model so I might try and get 2 readouts - 1 with power commander on which tends to run lean but will give it more response around 10,000 rpm, and 1 with power commander off which lets it run rich..
not sure of the opposition except for a 2005 fireblade but they're only selecting 7 bikes worthy of a shoot-out so we'll see.. being a honda dealership there's a good chance there'll be a few of 'em..

hey mate i know who you are now.. was thinking of you yesterday when i was in somerville.. not sure if you remember but i was admiring your busa a few months ago when you pulled up at coles one day - (that was in my pre-busa days and was saying to you how i wanted one - well, i got 2 99 models now!.. ..ok, gotta get to shoot-out now.. might see ya there..

I remember. I wonderd if you ended up getting a Busa. You were pretty keen at the time. Welcome to the AHC mate. Got too much on to head down today, but we'll def. meet up for a ride. You should come to Tathra with us in December. Check the threads (I think it's in Riding not talking section).
..just got in from a day trip to warburton and was busy buying a kwaka er-6n yesterday arvo so only just back online, but the news from the dyno shoot out wasn't good.. they 'measured' the busa at under 150!.. what a crock!!.. 175 stock + ~20 extra from mods = ~200 bhp.. ..whole thing stinks like something's rotten in denmark!.. rang the guy i bought it off straight after and he said, 'tell 'em to shove their dyno up their ass!'
