I have it on good authority (snowy on the tram ?) that the police have come up with a new & novel way of nailing anyone who strays over double lines on the GOR.

Allegedly they are using a stealth ute/car to drag a garden trailer up & down the GOR at 50kph. A video camera is then used to film all activities should anyone be frustrated enough to overtake on the doubles. Sounded a bit far fetched to me but they did initiate "cops in the scrub" up at the Black & Reefton spurs.

It wasn't snowy on the tram either, it was an official of the bmw club.

How's the form of these pricks?! Can't book enough for doing the wrong thing, so we'll go right upto the line of prevoking them...

That's disgraceful behavior by the police toward the public. That behavior puts the police further away from the public.

Entrapment, or protection?
I'd believe it - I heard they were doing something similar on Mt.Glorious a while back.
Late model ute going really slow until riders got the shits & overtook on double lines.

First thing the rider knew was a knock on the door to find the cops armed with the video footage.
.....and there was very similar tactics being used just recently on the old pacific h'way north of Sydney too!!! Frown (.....time to fight fire with fire, perhaps?!?) Pi_tongue

I heard the same rumour about an SS ute on the Putty road.
Have to bring the Budget into a surplus somehow Wtf
Not just those guys either, NSW Police on The Old Rd were doing it too. Just goes to show how low they are prepared to go.....

But lets give them the Yay for the Day for their heroic brave way to curb crime. why fight it when you can provoce it. Its so much more less time consuming and a no brainer........losers.

What anoys me is that there are far decient coppers out there giving us a break, like last week, I was traveling in a co car out back of Coonabarabran doing 10 - 15 over and the copper coming in the opposite direction flashed me and kept going. I looked down at my speedo relising this and adjusted according, no intention to speed. The road was barren and the copper obviously relised this and made a common sence approach to my situation.
WoW, wasn't I lucky I had a copper with Common sence, so rare these days!
up here you need to do anything wrong,i was travelling in traffic when an officer ,in a hwy patrol car ,did a u turn at speed ,now i was in a line of cars almost a k,long then he almost rammed the car behind me so he could stop me ,now get this,we were all in a 100k zone doing 80k ,he walked around my old 1100w ,asked for my licence ,told me it was a lovely bike ,then walked back to his car ,at this point i hadn't opened my mouth or even given the prick a dirty look, he walked back to me ,count 1 to 10 please ,,i did this, then under the machine he pulls out a fine for $86, and 1 point, wait for it ,for having a point on my chain guard ,ffs,
The whole thing just smacks of targeting and entrapment. I did hear that one solution is to give a toot or a flash of the lights (For safety reasons of course) and then when they wave you past you can use the "obeying the lawful command of a police officer defense. Haven't heard it tried but it makes for an interesting tale.
I wonder if the vicpol et al actually have documents indicating this is official police protocol or if it is just some HWP douche using his imagination?
That reminds me of years ago when i was driving my WRX in the adelaide hills. I followed an umarked ute thru some roadworks at 40kph, after the roadworks he continued at 60kph in a 80km zone so i overtook and as you guessed on come the lights.

I got asked if i was in a hurry, to which i replied yes. He said obviously. I said well i didnt break the law cos i didnt exceed 80kph and it was a clear passing lane so whats the problem?

Basically he wanted to defect the car to which i suggested that it only had 500k on it from new and it is in the condition it left the dealer.

His answer was to give me a waring and let me of after taking my name and address. Still dont really no what the warning was for! Wtf

Could'nt agree more here. It tarnishes the good police, and yes there is such a thing... I had a great cop a cupple months back, a lot of common sense thank god or I would've been toast.

But this type of behavior is not on...I see busses(public trans always) breaking the law speeding constantly in the burbs, they have everyone's kids, elderly, handicapped etc on them, and licensed to carry a hell of a lot more than my car....and then there's the taxi's...it's like public trans can do whatever they like, in plain view or otherwise... If I talk in broken English, and squint, can I go now?

lol this is why I'm not buying another bike in Auschtralia. Flame all you like.

First time I rode my busa in 2 months I got a ticket for lane filtering, I can't wait for someone to show these stupid f*&^ing c******* what a real criminal is, and if I'm being honest, I think we need a real crisis to shake the pussification out of this place.
The last time that happened, the gov took most of our guns off us...

Who said one person can't make a difference??
