Hi peoples. Well yesterday (14/5/13) i went and brought a B-King. I have always liked the look of them apart from stock exhaust so i finally got a chance to get one as they are pretty rare in N.Z. and went ahead and got it. Only done the 550k return ride on it but i love it, it's got yoshimura pipes so it rumbles and its very nimble for a heavy bike in all honesty feels more nimble than the busa but then the busa would be better at higher speeds. The dash has more functions than the busa (Gen11) and all digital and with the busa being suzuki's flagship it makes you wonder why the busa isn't digital. Still a licence takeaway bike as it greeps up to 130k and you think your only doing 100 so a permant eye on speedo. I hope i'm still allowed to stay a member of AHC as no longer got the busa but got the busa motor. Will get pics up when i get a photo of it.[/i]
Congrats grumpy....

hope it keeps a smile on ya dial!!

The B-King is a busa in the nude....of course we'll still want ya here!!!
Good on ya Grumps!
Nice work Grumpy A B-King has allways been on my list love the look And of cause your still Welcome its a Suzuki, We even let members stay with yamaha, hondas etc Would be a bit boring talkiing about only Busas so keep us up to date Pi_thumbsup
Good stuff, if I was to sell my busa id get a b kingYes
I have seen a bloke on one out my way who keeps up with just about anything, however has scraped footpegs as a result. Not to be under estimated.
Well so far i'm very impressed with the BK. I don't know if it's just me but it seems easier to ride than the busa and no acking wraists. I had verio footpegs on the busa but don't need them on the BK. Yes jamdonut they are not to be under estimated i think with the tuning differance these really get up and go down low, haven't had the front wheel up yet but it's coming, At the moment i've got it in pieces giving it a really good clean i'm fussy like that.
We want pics!
I've had one since Oct 07,
Very low build number,
Possibly the 1st on the road in AU
(or very near it)

Currently sat under a cover with no rego
and a flat battery. Not used it in a while.

Longer and heavier than a Busa,
Poor leg room, annoyingly small 16.5ltr tank,
very poor for a pillion.

My GSX1400 is a better bike for comfort,
Pillion, luggage, tank range.
Great bike for lazy rides with the Mrs or touring.

My naked Busa is lots lighter and has leg room,
Has a better fuel range, takes a tank bag.
Great bike for letting off a bit of steam and being an arse on.

Can't fault the B-Kings brakes though,
bloody excellent, id like a Gen2/King front end
on a couple of mg other bikes.

Might drag mine back out and give if a run sometime.

It's a fun bike but has its downsides.
Thanks Tony for your thoughts. I'm only 5ft 9 so have no problem with leg room on the BK and yes a small fuel amount but we have petrol stations everywhere and there is enough to get almost anywhere on a tank. I removed the pillon footpegs to give it a better look as i'm single so no need to worry about pillon comfort, i know there will be bikes out there more comfy than the BK but none have the look of the BK. Will get photo's up when i get my camera back off my daughter.
They are a great bike IF they suit you.
I don't use mine as a pillion bike,
I changed the ugly pipes,
They are a good bike if you can live with their downsides.

Mine has had years of chasing sportsbikes
over the mountains and around the dams
where the groups like their servo stops and brakes.

I don't use it with the Mrs on pillion,
on on 8 or 900k day trips out West.

Some folk love them, others hate them,
I'm somewhere in between.
