I am going to need to relocate an unregistered bike from Sydney Melbourne. Anyone had any recent experience? Needs to go to a Melbourne Depot if possible as I live outside of the metropolitan area. But I do have other Melbourne addresses I can use to drop off. Any ideas?
Rob
I have used bikes only a few times and have been happy.they will drop and short term store in there depot but long term you would probably have to pay for storage there.
Same as Dan bikes only Pi_thumbsup
Rob, doesn't it depend on the weight of the bike?
I think I used motorbike transport when I bought my busa 2 years ago. They picked it up at the Sydney bike shop and dropped it at my front door. Price was good ($395) and no prep needed. Actually started bike straight off back of truck before signing delivery.

Yep, I'd better check.
Lighter may be cheaper?

Is it a heavy bike you've bought?

Gotta be less.
Gotta lose some kg myself too!
Any idea what bike may suit, Pan?
I'll look into it tomorrow when I'm at the airport.
But I sure would appreciate your help and advice.

It depends what you want the bike for. From my limited experience, Hayabusas are no good on the track. They are designed for fat blokes. Now if, on the other hand, you're planning on losing some weight, you have a few options...

There's the ever-reliable CBR1000RR. Good all-rounder, but you end up lapping as slow as Driller.

There's the grunt of an R1, but you'll probably only manage to go as fast as Blackzook.

The GSXR1000 is okay, but you'll only end up looking as slow as like Bluethunder.

There's a light and nimble option, the GSXR750, but it's a bit of a girl's bike. Heidi can explain...

If you are serious about "looking" fast on the track, I'd suggest a Hayabusa track bike, but they're a bit hard to come by. I'll keep my eyes open and let you know.

By the way, what DID you end up buying?

Bikes only mate I had my busa delivered to my door for $340 from Brisbane picked at the door and dropped of at the door 1 week in total

Hey, Pan, I'd probably buy your bike but its too cheap - is there something wrong with it? If you put the price up, I might be tempted? Let me know, but I can't go over $10,000. Might be able to throw in a chainsaw and a sausage dog called Schnitzel to sweeten the deal. What do you think? Must make a decision today. I'm at the airport flying up to Gladstone to join a ship for weeks. OK. I'll throw in 6 bottles of Lindemans Bin 65 chardy as well? But that's the final offer. Rob
I like sausage dogs, but already have a retreiver! How about $9,999 and 4 bottles of chardy?

I was trying to negotiate a better deal, but just read the post again. Okay, you got me. I'll take the dog too.
