Blow compressed air through the delivery pipe???
A few gentle taps on the outside of the housing should loossen it. There is nothing really holding it in tight except maybe gunk buildup.
i cleaned mine yesterday and it come out easy the hardest part is the end filter takes a bit to remove it i use pointy nose pliers and a lot of patience.
and part 2 insulator is even harder to get out, theres a filter screen on its back that has to be cleaned. mine was clogged with black sediment.

HD? lovin it lol but still intend on keeping the busa for those tear-away rides and lean of course. hd has got no lean, imagine coming off a busa then hd, scrape, scrape lol, have to back off. heres a pic.

Very nice Volvi, specially like the skeleton hand side mirrors, take it easy on those corners mate you don't want to scrape the chrome. Very jealous mate.

pointy nose pliers, lots of tugging, grunting and groaning and swearing!!
. . . I eventually gave up cleaning my fuel pump, cut that bastard of a screen out and threw the paper filter away. I found that the o-ring expanded and got harder and harder to get back in with each pump clean. (Replaced the screws with allenheads after the very first time) Now I haven't opened it up in over 100,000kms. I run a small inline filter between the tank and the pump. Never had a problem since.
That other small "cup" screen is still accessible, and you can get to it without removing the pump. FYI - There are also 4 little screens between the fuel rail and the injectors- but these have always been clear when ever I've checked them.

Read couple of days ago the story you wrote about how you got your first busa and started this Glorious Club Volvi. Can not really understand how could you disgrace those memories with this contraption pretending to be a motorbike.
Life mate is ever changing, bet youve changed somewhat over the years and besides there be millions around the world who'd disagree with you re contraption, but each to theyre own. took me almost half a century before I invested in one and guess what? no regrets, as I said lovin it.

What you are said is true Volvi, we all change and our tastes do as well. But I wasn't talking about that because of course different people like different bikes and that is fine. However I call contraption anything that is designes so stupidly that every time you need to take a corner you have to slow down. Not because you are goint too fast for it, but because you will damage/scrap the bike bits. Such concept does not agree with me and it is not not only the HD that is affected but many others including the Suzuki Boulevard that I saw making sparks just going through rondabound. Where is the sense in that?

SIGHHHHHH It's a sad fact of life, that as you reach your senior years, you simply have to go slower on a bike.
I'm in Volvi's generation and so far have simply taken a cut in power rather than riding style with my VFR.
Maybe as I get older still, I will need to go even slower but so long as I can still ride, I will.
