I am in Perth and never thought I would have bought a hayabusa even thou I have liked there styling since they came out, Must of had a small mid life crisis as I decided a few weeks ago to look at sports bikes on a whim and low and behold theres a 2012 busa sitting in my garage now Very Happy haha funny how that works. Have been riding for around 22 years now from dirt bikes and Harleys when I got my open license.I finally got out on the busa for a ride of around 200km's a couple of days to go and man I couldn't stop grinning its like riding a smooth comfortable bullet, I thought I would open her up a little bit thru the twisties to see what I could do and it just smiled and laughed at me and said is that it Scary So am maybe planning on taking her to a track day on the 5th of july so they can show me how to ride her properly (hopefully)Biker

I do have a few questions at the moment and im sure a ton later on.

The bike has confused me, it has the 2012 colour scheme and when I decode the vin it says 2012 but on the compliance plate it was built in 2011 and its registered as a 2011 which one is it a 2011 or 2012?

I picked it up for $12,900 only done 19,000kms stock standard was this a good buy?

Hope to catch you on a ride one day.
hey mate..
any bought busa is a good buy LOL

I had an 01 with 02 colours on it.. seems they can lap over due to the late import date here in Oz (about Aug-Oct each year) which means they can on sell older plated models to us with curent colours LOL. My new busa is def a L3 (2013) as it's the first with ABS...

U r now addicted my friend to the busa... welcome to the asylum
Yes welcome mr harleyore. You'll get a lot of questions answered here. Great bunch of banana............blokes.

A lot of knowledge for specs and mods. I'm having a couple of mods done then I post a pic of my 13. Just little personalizing mods.

Again welcome.

Haha not a great deal. Mainly cosmetic. 1 practical mod that Corpsedealer has done for me. I put a clear LED tail light on her. Being a black Busa it blends in well with the clear indicators. I don't think id do it if I had a different color ie red or yellow(no offence) but I'll post a pic when I get it all together:)

harleyore Welcome to the Club and Hope you enjoy the forum heaps of knowledge and tips from everyone.

There's quite a of us WA Guys on here so watch the riding section for anything with WA in the title but to date we've been every quiet but if your interested I'm in the process of organising a 4 day run in Nov 2015. PM me if you want details.

Price for your bike not bad you can see 2011 models for the same price if not more of not more and I've also seen 2012 go for 14K but as you would know you may have got something cheaper if you were in the right place at the right time for example one of the guys on here brought an 09 with 2K on the clock and only paid 10K but when it's all said and done as long as your happy that's the main thing.

Anyway welcome and hope you enjoy they are truly a wonderful bike and that smile will only get bigger the more you get to know the bike. Yes the mighty Busa..

Cheers Rev004

Haha yeah was a bit confusing so thought I better change it just in case.
Welcome mate. I have the same red 2012. It's definetely the 2012 model. 2011 compliance means the bike was manufactured in Japan on that date and many new Suzuki models come into the country around October as the first run of a new model.

Look forward to catching up for a ride.

You will be surprised at how good the Busa is around Wanneroo for a big bike.
As the others have said.

My B-King is listed as an 08 model.
(There were only two B-King models 08 and 10... Different paint!)
but it was built, imported, complianced, sold and ridden in 07.
Welcome

mines the infamous and "sometimes" (according to many websites) non existent 2010 model stamped as a 2009 build.

Hope you enjoy your new ride as much as we love ours.
Welcome Harleyore
You best throw up a pik of the other bike!
Though they all might not admit it there are those of us that also own the
lounge chair that dont go, dont corner and dont stop.
