My new undertail on gen1 has built in led indicators. However they are both costantly lit but will flash for the direction when required while the oppisite side will stay lit..anyone out there who can offer some help ?
Never had a problem with my Hayabusa but I have several old bikes and it is usually the earth is loose/dirty/painted etc. The two indicators stay on when their earth is bad. Hope that helps.
Thanks Ken..ill look into it..but did the either of them flash when they were switched on?

They normally wouldn't flash and they would both stay on but they are the 70's and 80's bikes that I have. I would say a bad earth or possibly the flasher unit. I've never had a problem other than that over the years. I'm no auto electrician though so someone else here might have seen that problem on a busa.
Ive had a flasher put in that slowed the rate of flashing but did not fix the problem of them both staying on.
It seems there is not enough resistance (not enough current flowing through) to get the bi-metal based flasher operating. They should either came with a resistors to put in for a proper operation or an electronic flashern for LED indicators. The resistors need to be at least 10-15 watt.
Had some resistors put in..problem solved..Thanks for the help!
I imagine they where designed for US bikes which run 5w bulbs in the old style blinkers as Running Lights.
