Quoting religious versus to argue or defend is not a way to critique a faith or the actions of those abusing a faith.
As much harm as good is done by those interpreting what they read and the reasoning behind the readings.
So I am happy join in on this open discussion of Islam as long as it remains without the scripture quotations or comparisons to another religion. One mans heaven is another's hell... Or is it ones trash is another's treasure?

I wasn't allowed to do religious education at primary school, old man reckons it was brainwashing..I could hear what they were talking about sometimes.

Just a non religious "be good to your fellow man" is all we need. Remove all the religious agendas and that would be so much easier.
I always remember Rimmer from Red Dwarf talking about his parents religious beliefs. They had to hop everywhere because their bible had a printing mistake....Faith Hop and Glory...the most important being hop...just shows what some peoples definition can lead to...
Well there are some here that dont think its a serious problem regarding islam and the associated
problems that comes with this religion , not a problem, but remember when the shit hits the fan

I for one take this as seriously as you do.
I have several news feeds and follow this stuff daily.
All a few of us are saying is it is not cut and dry. We need to have hope and an open mind.
In any case we are blowing them up again with guns, personally I feel it may make things worse but as you say time will tell.
It IS serious no one denies that at all.
I'd be interested in what you suggest would fix all this.
ps my retraction re this young fellow who was killed may still be correct.
As news reports are now saying again that he DID have another bigger knife and a flag with him, but maybe we should let the full details be looked into and disclosed when all double checked and made public by Police.
