turning her into sand drag bike. Only minor changes to start (for the first run) then next year. Motor rebuild to take 20psi and bottle of nos, extended swing arm(maybe wider rear as well).
Pic pic pic!
Having trouble wiv Vid, Lets try again! apparently im gonna have to wiat till I get home as the file type is incorrect. Sorry for waisting time!
Aint the best shots but will give the idea!Biker

Just remember she is Dirt drags so you get away with shit you can't on the quarter!Pi_thumbsup
What would it be worth with a good restoration job? It may pay to use your Busa instead.
I'm with you Bob
looks like a good condition fairly original bike apart from the mufflers ,pretty normal to have them replaced they seemed to rot out too fast .
Most of the turbo gpz's sold on ebay get parted out, there becoming a rarity

Be a lot of fun though , some mad machines out there on the dirt
one of my old bikes is hitting the sand this weekend , turbo gsxr 1000 new owner fitted a custom frame and 10" paddle tire ,looks great, just hope it wheelspins and doesn't hook up
I understand what yu lads is saying but saved this bike from my mates dogs(they bin chewing on the front guard) This bike has bin neglected so I'm trying to give her a life and restored to the right buyer worth bout 6grand, so shits an giggles for me. On the 750 turbo website I've bin abused by 1/2 a dozen blokes for what I'm doing, The only bloke that said go for it was the forum administrator(bloke has built a 200mph unit).
And as I said on that forum Busa new Sand drag, her Not Fukin likely son! When I work out how to post Vid Ile through some up.
This bike I personally know will do 220knh on my looong driveway, so dragging will be a diff experience especially in the dirt!
well mate if it hasn't been said here yet I will...

GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!

each to their own for fun and passion and if it give ya a smile, screw the nay sayers

also have the yamaha xj 650 turbo but its in a million pieces at the moment
Just playing on the clay flats was all shits and gigglesRollLol2
Running a dirt bike tyre at the mo but she gets moving, Next step for the drags is steering dampners to calm down the 120k up head shakes(Maj as you say a 21"front may help with that), then paddle tyre. Cant afford $/time to lengthen swing arm yet but that will be done next year.
