Had a great day; great weather, but bit crook with flu so left early. Got a couple of clicks up the road and all hell let loose! Trailer draw bar collapsed, only tie downs held it all together. Got it sorted with a tilt tray. Busa is OK. At least I didn't fall off today!
Shit way to end the day, tho?

No more for me, mate.
Got made redundant. DOF laying up ships so preference goes to Norwegian Masters. Hawk has gone to Philippines for 5 years, so no where for me to go.
No big deal.
Got some other stuff lined up.
But its a pretty tough time in the oilfield at the moment?

Yep, I'm the same as you. We've had plenty of these peaks and troughs in the old industry - its just the nature of the beast!
I always make the most of it - have a break, try something different, get pissed - theres many options to get you through!
Inpex will be fine for a while, nothing to worry about with them they've got heaps to do. Just don't let them screw you too much for price. You'll have to let them know how many squares you use when you sh!t etc, they're pretty pedantic like that.

I believe they're also going to start onshore drilling up this way too at some stage, not my bag though- needs to be underwater to create any interest...

Guess I'm just over it at this point, can always come back to it.
I'm a bit of a "Foody" and gourmet farming is sparking some interest at the moment.
