Hello all...just after some advice..im 6ft 3..have no problem sitting and riding long distance on busa...my problem is knee s are bent so high find it difficult to shift my body in this position when riding...buell peg mod...more cruiser style for me...are there rearsets..and which..that will help me spread my legs to help me manouvere. ..appreciate advice.
I've wondered that myself?
What's the best position to strive for when riding road or track?
I have rear sets but never too sure how to set them.
On the track bike I think my feet are too flat. Which is ok on the road when you need to plant a boot on the ground.
I was thinking of using a mirror to see how best to sit, because it's hard to judge, and then see where your feet end up when you stretch out more?
Racers seem to sit way higher, and have their feet back further?
How do you sort this out!
Found a great way to feel better on bike, specially long rides. While not 6'3" I do have old man syndrome where my body wont fold like a pocket knife anymore LOL
Started riding with toes on pegs and believe it or not it felt good (once I got me head around the "wrongness" of it LOL) The new position allows for my knees to shift position easier without feeling like a $5 hooker that "normal" foot position does. It also removes the feeling I have that 1 foot sticks out further than other that the normal position creates.
Maybe it's just me but riding on my toes feels naturally better and shows me that up and back on the rear sets is better than down and forward (which is how I set my adjustable ones when I had them on).
Hey Cap'n you need a mate with a cam to follow you for a ride. Then you will be in a more natural position and can study your feet (and everything else) when you ride.
Thanks Madmax..nice and well kept bike you have there!

I 've been there. Same height and same problem. Modified the seat and pegs - not much difference. Bought a litre bike - voile!

Good to hear from u shifu...long time....liter bike? ..can u exlain
He means the 1000cc bikes like R1, GSXR1000 ect....
They seem to get you more forward with lower, more backward pegs that gets ur knees down. Tell me if I am wrong shifu?
I saw you the other day max, riding near glenlock interchange I believe. I was on my new work bike. I haven't found a solution to folding up on the bus' so I'm thinking of trading it for a different bike. With a more upright riding style.

Right on the money Bat. They are designed to have more adjustability though you will not get much comfort from the position designed for the ease of movement without upsetting the bike.

When I got my Busa I thought I will never buy another bike. That was 5 years ago. Now I got three, and my wife does not understand too. But then again I do not understand the Mimco bags either Lol3
