Oxley Hwy now that is one nice section of road certainly rank that one as one of the best well on the ones I've ridden on anyway. Pi_thumbsup ..

Now for anyone interested in a different ride from Melbourne up, heres what I am doing.......

DAY 1 - Off Spirit of Tas 7am Tuesday morning and head off up the most east coast I can. Planning to stop at Tidal River so I can tick off "the most Southern (and South Eastern) sealed road on mainland Australia" as a place I have ridden too. Might seem silly but it's things like this I enjoy.

Then I am planning on my first stop somewhere between Lakes Entrance and Cann River. Combination of weather, stops, picture taking, boredom, etc. will determine where..... oh and availability of a clean bed LOL

DAY 2 - is to take the most coastal road I can to get somewhere between Nowra and Wollongong...

DAY 3 - again to see some of the best East Coast towns and scenery on my last leg to Port Macquarie

I really want to ride the East coast up and see a lot of the great small coastal towns, scenery and enjoy both the ride and the culture. While I am still looking at 500-600K a day I will be more in tourist mode than rider mode LOL.
Hope to have company doing this but still very happy to be solo enjoying it too.

If anyone knows of great things to see on the above route ideas please call me or chime in here with them.

Cheers
As an added thing to do I am looking at doing the Saddlesore 1600K Challenge (the old 1000 miles in 1 day LOL) on my way back from Brisbane. So far I am thinking of going from the Gold Coast to Dubbo via Charleville with approximately 1020 miles completed.

Still locking in dates so if your up for a big day join me LOL
