Thought it might be better to start a new thread on this topic for those about to install the alarm.

Ok so I hit a brick wall of sorts. My question to those that may know the wiring of this product;

So far have removed rear panel. Mounted unit ontop of ecu. Fed HAR-1 loom on left side to rear. SUZ-1 onto HAR-1 ok. SUZ-1 white brake bracket connected ok - ready to feed other coupler from rear brake light on panel. Now my question I cant find where to connect the 2 grey indicator leads from SUZ-1 with pink plastic connectors.??? I recognise the 2 wires going to indicators but cant see how to connect the 2 pink head leads to them. Instruction manual not helpful on this.

Anyone............yet, anyone installing them yet?

Ok I found the answer which will be usefull for others. Page 4 of instruction manuel talks about T-Tap connectors. I couldnt find any because being told using harness SUZ-1 we wont be needing GEN-1. However these elusive T-Tap's are found in GEN-1 so you will need 2 of them to splice into indicator wires. Each indicator wire loom comes with 2 wires 1 black 1 black with white stripe. Splice the T-Taps on the plain black wires (I found out the hard way by initially doing it on the stripe wires). Then temporarly mount the rear panel/frame and hooking up the rear brake bracket.

Connect black wire with fuse to + positive on battery before connecting main HAR-1 into main module. Then slowly keep your eyes on both L/R indicators from above, as you plug it in you will hear 2 loud beeps and importantly see both indicators flash twice, important they flash twice indicating setup correctly.

a couple of tips.

If mounting on ECU as I have done, take it as far back as it will go to the sponge ecu rear protector against the sub frame. As seat mould wont allow seat down properly if mounted too far forward. You will think when putting back rear panels that it will interefer but it doesnt its sits nicely below mini frame bit.

If mounting perimeter sensor ontop of battery as I have done coz it being a nice flat surface, angle front of sensor 45 degrees facing left side of bike. According to Iceman front of sensor most sensitive and any intruders movement will likely be standing in that position like about to grab handlebar. Sponge on bottom of seat securing battery will have to be removed or cut down.

Arming alarm with remote to include perimeter sensor is by just pressing button 3 (bottom one) not 1 first arming then 3.

All in all very easy to install. and so far works beautifully.

Cheers for the extra info, Volvi. Piece of piss to install in the end and took about a half hour. I went out to test all the lights this morning and the brake light was on for no apparent reason. So, I took the whole loom off and checked it for earthings. Nothing. In the end, it was the rear sets that I installed last week. idiot. Guess what, you can do an alarm in half the time when you do it twice. I'm a certified scorpio god now. lol. Edited by: glen66 at: 27/6/06 5:19 pm

Took me a little longer but I did the perimeter sensor and the anti - hijack unit as well

will sleep a little better when we go away and stay at those sleepy little country towns where the locals come out at night to play
