Hwy patrol opposite direction on 2-lane rd, as soon I spotted him (too late!) didn't bother nose down hard brake...seemed to obvious and if radar got, well it go me. He flashed head lights, which I took as a warning, kept eye on mirror in when the blue & reds lit up I cursed.

But he was going take a while to u-turn, I tell ya if straight divided it would be tempting to wind her out but not worth the consequences. I debated whether I should make him catch all the way up, but after about 20s decided I might as pull over and wait...maybe he'll give me break. I mean 124 is v. restrained on a busa! Mark

Shoulda run!!! or shoulda pulled off the road and hidden the busa and hide your self Dirty Dan For Life

Running can be very costly. One of our civvy employees in Canberra ran, was caught, got $800 fines on the spot plus a summons to Court, got a cancellation of licence - meaning he has to get a learners permit and start from the start of the whole process when the court allows him to start and a further $1200 in fines. If he had stopped he would have lost his licence for three months and a $1500 fine. While that looks huge, compare to what he ended up with.

The silly part of his story is that he had a plate calculated to deceive on his bike - in his words - to beat the new speed cameras. They only photograph from the front. He said bhe felt so stupid when told. His other mistake was stopping. One you decide to run you cannot stop voluntarily especially iff you have bodgey plates on. Can you?

At Wheels car show ACT RTA had a camera display, they said photos mostly out the back but in some cases (rarely) they will photo out the front of the van.

I have been hooking down the Adelaide Ave bus lane, 130km/h heart skip abeat, panic when i see the van in its usualy spot b4 Cotter Rd exit (yes I should know better) then realise at 100k front down that I'm probably ok - no ticket yet & that has been about 2,3 times.

You should all come down to Vic. all our mobile cameras get the rear plate and since its privatised, there is no warnings, and they can be mounted on any vehicle ( there was one near my place and the guy was driving around in a 20yo hilux with more rust than steel, radar box mounted to the grill camera on ther dash, caught heaps of people that I know of)

Ahh Victoria, truely the land of the free

The Frankenbusa will rise again!!!

That would make me move states. If that isnt revenue raising I don't know what is............what else is the government going to privitise. They take no farking resposibility for anything and it shits me to tears

Whats the name of the company so we can all buy shares? Cheers Taub

MacBusa

bugger... i swear theres more speed camera's than speeding motorists... maybe... Cheers.Grantwww.blingpartsaustralia.com.au

Maggot1300

not to mention the ones they've put on all the major intersections and down all the main freeways. I was in shock when I got to NSW and there were signs telling you that there was a camera!!! here they hide them behind bridges and freeway signs
The Frankenbusa will rise again!!!

Blackzook

Speed cameras are privatised in W.A. too or should that read they are run by contractors - either way its a dog doing a c******* job.

BUSGO

Just got back from P.I. and there was a private Hilux with a camera on the side of the road at Buxton. Just North of the Black Spur. I think I was OK.
The Spur was in great condition with just a little bit of slippery bark and some moisture through the gully.
Otherwise a brilliant bit of tar.
