Well looks like the jindy trip is still haunting me
After much stuffing around with insurance & suzuki finance
My bike was written off & I got a new 06 blk/grey
now look whats gone wrong
Check out this shit
Bikes only just had it's first service new 06 model
By the damage it looks like I've been givin it a hard time. Hard to believe but true as my shoulder is still not right so I've been going easy
I've only ridden it about 4 times. No burn outs, only a couple of power wheelies ,not even any drag start's , I dont even use the clutch to change gears.
Till yesterday I went out with a few of the QLD busa members
& had a chance to give it a go.
A couple of hard take off's with the boys & then the clutch starts slipping
I thought the clutch may have slipped cause of heat in doing it back to back for a few times. Then the oil light was on as well .
I got the bike home in a mates van, pulled it apart to have a look & saw all this.
I know Suzuki dont do warranty's on clutchs but this is'nt worn out it exploded
The pics are the inner plate broken/ ground
whats left of the outer and where it ended up.
This is my 5th busa Ive ownered & I've never had a problem like this before
This must have been stuffed from the factory

Hey, Mr Suzuki, are you reading this part of the forum??

This is the part where we start to bitch about the customer relations department.

This is a BRAND NEW BIKE, this shit shouldn't happen, but more often than not, it does.

david

was it makeing any noise before this cheese cake happend? At an idle w?hen clutch lever was let out any noise ?

CAS3234

david,
ALL Busa clutches make noise, they are f*&^ing HUGE in comparrison with other sports bikes, I think that the clutch pack in a GSXR1000 is only 30mm or there abouts.
The ZX10 is the same too.

Troy Busa R

Have you spoken to the shop where you picked it up from mate?

Troy.

the shredder 3

Yeah there may have been a bit of a strange noise in
the clutch but nothing horrible.
I went to see my service guys this morning
He was amazed as he has'nt seen 1 shattered before
He cant see why they would'nt warant it as it's not worn it destroyed.
There picking up the bike tomorrow so they can inspect it & push the issue with suzuki.
So fingers crossed.

I would have thought you voided the warranty when you opened it up yourself? Whose to say you didnt smash it with a hammer?

rev 01

Is the clutch rated as a consumable

simmo

Yes I would think so but not on a brand new bike
these bikes are almost bullet proof the best in the world
come in Rocket
