well on friday i called my local suzuki dealer to see how my warranty claim was going. I'm happy to report that after 6-8weeks it has been approved . The dealer says give them 3 weeks to get parts in and put it back together. I can't wait. thanks to all for advice, support and tips . If it wasn't for the busa club i probably would've had to fork out the cash to fix it myself.
Now i thought the last 2 months were long, but a 3 week wait is going to kill me.. hope it doesn't take longer like shredder's, he's been waiting 9weeks and still hasn't got it back.

But as soon as it's back i'm up for a long ride. Destination: anywhere...

cheers

Well done mate great to hear its working out for you. Bruce

See here, young man, from Walgett to the sea,
From Conroy’s Gap to Castlereagh, there’s none can ride like me.

Good stuff Rob.
Glad to hear it. Watch they don't hit you with a bill for "incidentals" when you pick it up like they did with me...

It's a long bloody wait which ever way you look at it.

Would this sort of thing be the norm for all motorcycle warranty claims & how would it compare to the car industry

rob

Pan, what sort of incidentals did you get charged for?

Mine wasn't warranty. It was a recall that Suzuki told me was done, then admitted they overlooked (read: lied about), but later accepted full liability for... (with coaxing and threats of legal action).

I had a long discussion on the problems I had, but it seems to have disappeared...

Basically I had to pay for oils, fluids, hoses they wanted to replace, rings and other parts...
