How did Shreader run his 8 second pass?

What was his secret weapon that he didn't want the NSW boys to know?

Will we have a guessing comp?

We all knew the numbers didn't add up right on his time card, so what could it be?

How come you didn't give me that tip to get me into the 9's?

Who in QLD has been ringing up Busa riders in NSW to let them know?

I will post up the answers to these questions tonight if he doesn't come clean!!

Hey dave if your posting this up you must know.
I could'nt say as I felt dirty & ashamed that I cheated myself
but I had to know if it was the bike or me.I tried every thing I could & was ready to quit, but know I know what I have to do.

I'm just having a dig at ya mate.

No hard feelings mate,
I gotta get used to using these bloody emoticons, I just looked at what I posted and it looks as if I am being a bit of a bully, sorry.

To tell you the truth I have been thinking of doing the same thing, we are running mod bike after all.

CAS3234

You think so BUSGO?

I could run a very low 9 if I did the same thing!!

BUSGO

It's all hard work and determination.

Aye aye,

If you use a Wheelie Bar then you should be up front about it mate, and not sit back and receive acolades from your unsuspecting peers.

The No-Bar movement respects and supports its own, and understands how hard it is to break into the 8's.

Good luck in your quest for a REAL 8, and membership of the 8 sec No-Bar club.

If you stick with a bar, then good luck in your quest for a 6 sec pass.

Hey Shane .................your out there havin a go at it and thats the main thing Good luck to you for doing so.

I totally agree with you FF1 and from 1st hand I have watched him slog his heart out on that bike and get so close to the 8's it wasnt funny 9:015 I think was his best he has been knockin on that 8sec door for awhile but was just about to give it all away he tried the bars and wham bam thank you maam 8:88 followed up with an 8:89 I honestly think the bike might have a 8:5 pass in it but not anymore and the wally that reckons he should be going for a 6 sec pass well mate lets see you pull a very low 9 on a street bike and then I wanna see you pull that 6 sec pass on a street registered bike also Regards Bill

Aye aye,

Sorry for being a wally - but I too know what it's like Knocking on the 8 sec door for months and months before cracking the magic #.

I was just making the point that if I'd used a wheelie bar to do it - then I'd have made it very clear to my peers when posting my achievements before I accepted their heart felt congratulations and admiration.

No-bar bikes have run 7.0's at over 200mph - so I stand by my assertion that if you run a bar then you should be setting your sights on a 6.

The No-Bar movement is growing - VIVA LA REVOLUTZIONE

Is that the MR Turbo thingee?? Cheers,

Bars or not, I dont hear of too many people around with 8 second time slips for their street bike!

The accolades are still warranted!

Yes, he probably should have said something about the bars, but there are only a few people that would actually give a toss oneway or another!

Shredder achieved the goal he set for himself and everyone was happy for him. Thats what I thought this Board was about, to support/help each other reach our goals.

So what was the point with all this Dave?

I'm probably not the fastest around but with the bars worth 3/10ths for Shane they would only net me a 9.8 with my current setup and riding ability, long ways from a low 9!

It doesn't matter that he used a bar thats his business, your his mates so you'll standby him, thats what good mates do.

We all have been on the 9.0,9.1 barrier, spent heaps of money , heaps of runs and still nothing.

If you think Shreader had it tough ,you guys should have been at Wsid during my stint, Jamie had broken in to the 8's and I was still running 9.0's meet after meet, it was killing me .

Then one day bang it happens,a 8, then you end up going back to 9.0 then back again its a tough game but thats what its all about .

Shane knows he cheated himself, no-one else.

What we are concerned about is the quest for the "first street bike into the 7's ", there is serious money up for grabs as well as sponsorship and the chance to race in the U.S. finals.

The specs are a DOT street tyre, no-bar etc .

Hate to cheapen the whole thing after so many have put so much on the line.

Thats why we so passionate about the whole thing .

Good luck Shayne in your endevours I'm sure you'll get there.
Go your own way it doesn't matter which, being true to yourself is more important .

Leonard.

Yeh everyone lighten up, all you can do is your best.

Ok explain to me what the f*** has to be done to an engine to run these so called 6's Shane is crossing the line at around the 155- 160mph and not detonating the bike what pound boost and what Hp would you need for a bike to be hittin over 200mp to run the 6's and f*** me I would love to see someone run a 6 with out bars Regards Bill

Good on ya Shayne. It's a brilliant time either way and deserving of respect in most people's opinions... those "other" opinions... well, you know... remember how at school bullies picked on smart kids because they were SEEN AS A THREAT... ?

Just between you and me..., when I do the quarter mile on my standard Busa, I sometimes get a bar half way down the strip, but it doesn't seem to do a thing to my times...
