OK call me a dickhead but I have been around bikes for more years than I care to remember but I know very little about the Busa and I would like to remedy the situation.
I haven't even had the fairing off my bike and there are several things that I would like to be able to do.......Chain and sprocett changes, clutch cylinder mods and the like but I lack the confidence to tackle them on my own.
Would anybody in Brisbane be willing to run a workshop for dummies, where members can get together somewhere for minor maintenance supervision.
Failing that is there a Suzuki mechanic that would be willing to donate his time or even for a small fee to give us the advice we need.
I'm not trying to do the dealers out of work but the price these guys charge makes me even more determined to be able to tackle some things myself.
What do other members think? Would you also be interested?
If so, can you offer a solution?
Regards
CB

Solution. Move to Victoria. Got a bloke who regulaly attends my place and we pull my bike to bits. And sometimes I get it back together without loosing parts.
No doubt you'll meet up with a fellow Busa rider who will be more than happy to part with knowledge for a latte and a lunch or two. (Works for me)
P.S. Thanks for the spare mudguard bolt and spacer Rev.
Cheers, Phil. Riding not talking.

Chopper Bob 1

Good solution Phil, I move to Victoria every October but the weather and the bullshit speeding fine set up you have down there usually have me heading north fairly quickly. After a run up the Reefton Spur of course (luv the pub) How bout you lot move up here. We have some fantastic roads to show you and you really can ride all year round.
Maybe we can get Rev up here on a Virgin flight!
Bit of a worry though if he arrives back home with spare nuts and bolts in his pocket. LOL
Hope to catch up GP time.

stripped to the last nut and bolt.

CHOP: Spent many a time in BNE over the years & I envy your lifestyle !! Used to visit the "Catwalk" & the Rowers regularly !!!! Maybe one day when the Vic Bolshie
government finally piss me right off, shit they're miserable down here !!! Big brother breathing down everybody's necks with their PC appeasement bullshit !!

I think the pinko Commie bastards want to hold us down & inject the ID chip next, like my friking cat

clmnts

TOO many Kiwis living in brissy Rev.
However the catwalk club was good on many an overnight...memories eh!
Any one of you blokes going to the moto GP!

Chopper Bob 1

badassbusa

CB, got your e-mail, but my bloody computer lost it, or I did - one or the other. Can you re-do the same and I'll give you a call. Thanks Marty

clmnts

Was asking if anyone is going to the vic motogp
perhaps we could ride there the back way??? avoid the cops

Chopper Bob 1

G'day Clmnts,
Yeah mate we go down most years to the GP with about 3 or 4 other bikes who join us along the way.We have accomadation booked but hopefully see ya on the road.
We find it best to stay clear of Hgw 1 and New England Hgw. Full of Coppers and speed cameras, all in the interest of road safety of course......arseholes!
I'm probably preaching to the converted but if you have a bit of time ride the Oxley Hgw. Thunderbolts Way, The Putty Road
and of course the Snowy river area has many fantastic rides.
This year after leaving Cooma we will ride via Cabramurra, Coryong, Bright and then down the Alpine way through Omeo.
Really good stuff.
After PI probable return via Sydney along the coast, also a good ride, especially the Vic and sth. NSW sections.
We take about a week to get down, the GP is just an excuse to go for a bloody good ride.
Our Busa is Grey and silver with tank bag and ventura rack, oh yeah and the rider and pillion have bloody big smiles on their faces. See ya on the road.
