Most of you would be aware that Elizabeth St has been the Mecca of Australian Motorcycling for a very long time now & to celebrate the centenary of the establishment of the motorcycle trade in this precinct a huge extravaganza is set down for next Saturday Nov the 8th.

If you can remember Mayfair Motors, Stan Bogner, Modak, Milledge Bro's etc you would do well to roll up & renew some past aquaintances

PS: GDYUP No, I don't recall seeing Methusilah there Just thought I'd get in first

GDYUP

Nice one Rev, ya beat me to the punch.
I'll bring the nickel plated zimmer frame and the tissues.
How are you guys off for incontinence pads???
Sorry Mate, I'd love to join you for the ride. I used to get in there in the seventies on the ole Honda CB 360...
I'm sure that the parking will still be a nightmare.:">
Cheers, Phil. Riding not stirring

Hope to see alot of Busa's there tomorrow.
Watch out for the nickel plated parade at about 1100. Rev is going to do a rolling burnout up Elizabeth Street. (Not!)
Hope to catch up with a few club members. Be there!
Cheers, Phil. Riding not talking...

Hey great turn up in Elizabeth st today, ahhhhh Melbourne, perfect one day,who cares about the next.
Great to catch a few of you, although only briefly. So much to see and do,good to see the spirit of motorcycling is still alive and kicking, hell even the mayor said that it was as prestigous as moomba and a fantastic turn out.
Gdyup and Revs nickel plated cheesecakes

Faaaaark, even the busa looks like a 250 next to this beast!

Good pics Rocket Great collection of past & present machinery, good to see you, Volvi, GDYUP & a few others enjoying the sights & sounds. They'll have to make it an annual thing I reckon after that turnout

Had mixed feelings looking at that Honda CBX 1000 6
If you think tappet adjustment on the Bus is tricky, that thing has 24 & you have to drop the engine to do them Smoothest bike I ever owned & sounded like a Ferrari with a 6 into 1

Wasn't too keen seeing wasted VMAX engines in trikes though, what a shame

GDYUP

Ha, nice one Rocketman. Rev and I thought you were just another nickel plated Busa groupie. We run from camera's, especially speed camera's.
Good to see a few of the club members. There must be alot of non members, there was quite a few Busa's there on the day.
It was worth turning up to see Rev getting misty eyed with all that vintage machinery there. The old guy has forgotten more about motorcycling than most of us know now.
If you were from outa town, you could think it was a Fred Flintstone get together with all those (H.D.) put, put pedal power bikes. If that's riding, cars aren't looking so boring!!!
Cheers, Phil. Riding a real bike, not talking.

Saw your bikes, but not all of you. Even bumped into Pearl! The only busa I saw that I didn't recognise as a member was the one from Peter Stevens that was representing the year 1999. Of course it was copper :P - definitive busa colour
