Hi, been reading the discussion board for the last few months and been wanting a hayabusa since 1999. Got rid of my GSXR750 a few years back and been riding a KLR650 since then.

Two weeks ago I bought a black/grey 2003 Hayabusa as a second bike. Great bike and got alot of good information from this discussion board. I have just moved from Melb to Syd so if anyone could point me in the direction of some good day trips I would appreciate.

The klr is still quicker for getting to the city in the morning due to the traffic but if the sun is shining then the busa is starting to do its fair share of commuting

Welcome craig to the board and the bike, like how you say "Hayabusa as a second bike" now thats a FIRST, but I understand what you mean.

Welcome Craig,

Shame you didn't post earlier and come on yesterdays ride.

Where in the Sydney area are you located, there's great riding roads in all directions, except east that is. Dave

Located in Carlingford. I heard the Pacific Hwy was good heading out to Newcastle ? Definately have to hook up for a ride. Still getting used to the beast but not finding it all heavy as I thought it would. My 92 GSXR750 felt heavier but it was a bit of a pig to steer.

G'day Raz and Craig (and you too Franko)

Raz, where in Western Sydney? We're at Camden. And yes Craig, the old Pacific Highway is nice, but its also lovely out our way and then there's our old favourite the Putty . Bells Line of Road is also great for bikes as are the back ways through to the Southern Highlands. And then there's the Pubs...

Let us know when you'd like to venture this far
