If anyone thinks a rad guard is not woth it think again.
Coming home last night I copped a stone or something
in my radiator. On getting home I found a nice stream of
coolent pissing out of it.Id been thinking of getting a rad gaurd for a while but had'nt.To make things worse Kym
is due to have the baby anytime now and for those of you who know me know I've never had a car licence. So with a bit of luck the bike shop will be able to patch it up with a type of glue used on car rad till I can get it
fixed properly. If not its about $800 for a new rad so think
about a rad guard its cheaper than a new radiator.Worse
thing is to it was a great day for a ride to.

Sorry to hear that Jamie. I hope you'll let us know what happens with the birth of your baby when the time comes and you get a chance to post. Anyway, best of luck for both the birth and getting your radiator fixed.
By the way, have you ever driven a car, like in the paddock or anything?

jamie

Yeah I driven before just never got the licence.Might be a good time to get it now.

Sorry to hear about your trouble with your bike.
Here is a web site for radiator guards if anyone is interested.
www.radgardaustralia.com
the price for one is $175 inc gst

Well the bikes back on the road. They used an epoxy that
thay use for car radiators and it seems to doing the job.
Next thing is to get a rad guard so it wont happen again.

Some owners have been making their own rad guards from aluminium mesh. Saw some really strong stuff at my local blinds & awnings outlet.
